Alana Tsui – Regent Hotels

Artist Alana Tsui led a live drawing experience for Regent Hotels and Resorts at an Architectural Digest AD100 holiday event in collaboration with IHG Hotels and Resorts. The event brought together 150 architects, designers, and clients for a design-led evening hosted by Architectural Digest’s Global Editorial Director, Amy Astley.

The live artwork was developed to reflect Regent’s global portfolio, incorporating architectural references and destination elements from five locations: Carlton Cannes, a Regent Hotel; Regent Bali Canggu; Regent Santa Monica Beach; Regent Hong Kong; and Regent Shanghai.

The composition framed each destination within an arched scene, connected by a continuous road rendered in Tsui’s signature linework. Palm motifs and travel-inspired elements were used to create a cohesive backdrop that reinforced themes of place, journey, and hospitality.

Following the event, the completed artwork was selected to be presented as a holiday gift for the brand’s Vice President in London, extending the impact of the live experience beyond the event itself.
